Miss K Newborn Session – September 19, 2016 | Drayton Valley Family Photographer
It turns out that documentary sessions (mine, at least) tend to involve horses. From newborn to family sessions, so many of my clients over the last year have requested a photo session on their own acreage or farm, and the majority of them have included these giant hoofed animals. I am happy to oblige to these requests, because as I’ve mentioned before, even though horses kinda scare the crap out of me, they look so beautiful in photos!
This newborn session includes one of the best photos that I feel I have EVER taken (my personal opinion, of course). Big sister sitting alone on her horse with a spotlight from the window lighting her up just perfectly…ahhhh, sometimes the stars align and you click that shutter button at the perfect time, and this was one of those times. Scroll down to check out our time on the farm and see that photo for yourself, and immerse yourself in the story of a family welcoming their newest member to the home.
Probably my favourite thing about this session is how it illustrates the relationship of big sister with her mom and dad. Growing tomatoes with mom and feeding daddy snacks; I mean really, so cute! The introduction of a new baby is an adjustment for everyone in the house, and these relationships often change because of that. I’m happy I was able to preserve the memories of the first few days of having baby in the house for this family, and I’d love to do the same for you. Contact me today if you feel like this session is something you want to have for yourself.
